Altar Servers Gathering 2025: A Joyful Celebration of Faith and Fellowship

The Archdiocese of Bangalore has brgun the year of Jubilee 2025 with lots of prayer. It is planning various activities in the diocesan, deanery and parish level. We the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Kalena Agrahara also planning to host number of activities to mark the Year of the Jubilee.

One of the first step in this regard is the Altar Servers Gathering. Today, February 9th was an auspicious day in the life of the parish and in Begur Deanery. We had 150 Altar Servers from different parishes of Begur Deanery. We began with registration by sweetening the dried mouths with juice and biscuits. We celebrated the Eucharist presided over by Somascan Fr Jnana Prakash. We had a short talk on vocation to priesthood and religious. After lunch we had group games followed by different skits on biblical theme. We had prize distribution. We ended the program with Samosa and juice served to everyone.

I would like to thank all the Parish Priests who have taken keen interest in sending the Altar servers. I thank Jesuit brothers Larren and Avin for conducting the entire program.
